Greek Vases in Poland

Oxford: The Clarendon Press, 1928. Hardcover. Gray paper boards with gold cloth spine, 87 pp. of text plus 32 BW plates. G- (Ex-library with label and pocket and few marks; no dj; outer spine is cracked along top edge; has average wear on other edges; slight soiling on half tp; interior page surfaces are generally clean.). Item #148490

Outlines these specific holdings of three collections then located in Poland: at Castle Goluchow, at the Czartoryski Museum in Cracow [sic], and at the University of Cracow [sic]. The author visited Poland to do his research in 1926. He divides his narrative by type: black-figured and other early vases; archaic red-figured vases; red-figured vases of the free style; and later red-figured vases, attic and italiote. Too bad the plates aren't in color. Ah, well. This means you'll have to find them in person, on your own, in Goluchow and Krakow. A scarce volume, in any condition.
