Dr. John H. Tilden (1851-1940) was a doctor of medicine who grew to discount the use of drugs, and to treat ailments instead by eliminating toxins and living in a more healthful manner. He wrote and published a monthly health magazine called "The Stuffed Club," from 1900-1915. (It was retitled several times after that, until his death.) This compilation volume includes consistent pagination and a topic index at the front, so it's not just a year's worth of paper issues bound together. The periodical subtitle-catchphrase is "Drugs and Superfluous Surgery Must Go." The good doctor supplies terrific reading on every page: about health, illness, medicine, lifestyle, everything imaginable. You won't know whether to nod in agreement or laugh at his audacity.
