Palliser, Palliser & Company of New York was widely considered the most influential pattern book publishers of the late 19th century. For a small fee, prospective homeowners, builders, and contractors could write to Palliser and obtain a set of architectural plans with elevations and perspective views for the most popular architectural styles of the day. The drawings herein are of architectural decoration and ornamentation of all kinds. This volume measures just shy of 26" x 20" and is complete, with 40 plates. Plates 12-24 are numbered near the bottom center of the sheet, and plates 25-40 are numbered on the far left lower edge. Plate 15 was printed as "16" and the "6" is inked over as a "5." Printed on the thinnest, most fragile paper with minor to moderate (1.5") tears here and there, sometimes to sections of sheets in the same spot.
