Text in French. Includes a one-page preface, followed by an alphabetical listing of the plates. They include mostly full-page illustrations bapistries, chapels, "colleges", churches and convents, stairs, fountains and cisterns, houses, church furnishings, palaces, doors, tombs, triclinium (Roman formal dining room), and more. Some plates include both interior or exterior images as well as floor plans. An interesting feature of many plates, particularly on the interior views, is the placement of images of one or two people, to show the scale of the room's or building's size. The full set includes the text volume and 3 volumes of plates. This is Volume 2 of the plate volumes.
