Twelve individual issues of "Perezvony", each with decorative wrap covers with black Cyrillic lettering, various numbers of pages, bw illustrations throughout the texts and occasional color plates tipped in; all bound into a red buckram binding (older) done by Baer & Weis in Pittsburgh. All original editions; not reprints. VG+, clean and tight contents but with age toning to page edges. Buckram covers have rubbing and a few scratches but no major flaws. Initials "V.N." embossed in lower right corner (Vincent Nesbert, Polish-American artist). Item #146795

Issues included are: 1925 - Nos. 3 and 6; 1926 - Nos. 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, and 25; 1927 - Nos. 28, 29, 33, and 36. Perezvony was a publication of the arts, literature, and culture published by/for the Russian immigrant community in Riga. This population had emigrated from Russia after the 1917 revolution and were politically in line with the tsarist time, which this journal seeks to remember. Some beautiful illustrations and extensive articles. Even the advertisements give a glimpse into the era. A lovely compilation in a secure binding.
