A detailed and illustrated report on the history of the home of American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882) in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Built by John Vassall in 1759, the house also hosted a stay by General George Washington for nine months during the American Revolution. The house is also associated with Andrew Craigie, one of the largest landowners in the area in the 1790s.
