Very clean and tight but with water stains (some faint, some not) along edges of most pages from 45-65, last 3 blank pages and the white background of the signed woodcut. Baskin started The Gehenna Press with two others, Harold McGrath (pressman) and Sidney Kaplan. "Baskin likened the press to a 'free academy of the typographical arts,' one in which writers, artists, designers, printers, binders, and students found common cause in the project of fine printing. Together they created books that are internationally recognized as intellectual and artistic milestones in the history of the book." (Historic Northampton Museum and Education Center). Beautifully-produced on rag paper.
