Robinson was and American classical archaeologist and on the faculty at Johns Hopkins University. He was credited with discovering the ancient city of Olynthus. The article is about two heads from Sar Uyuk, near Eskisehir (Turkey) and the other from Rhodes. The inscription by Robinson is to C. Morgan Marshall, former Administrator of the Walters Art Gallery in Baltimore. Very scholarly article.
