Text in Russian. The publication presents the collections of M. Botkin (1839-1914) and S. Botkin (1859-1910), from the collection of the Russian Museum. The book consists of two separate sections, each of which is accompanied by documentary photographic evidence and detailed biographical information about collectors and the history of the collection's formation. Included in the first section are images of primitive art and foreign medieval culture found in Russia; works of ancient art, and paintings by A. AIvanov. The second section includes graphic works by Russian artists of the late XVIII - early XX centuries and paintings by Sergey Botkin as well as sculptures from his house - museum. With artists' biographies and brief information about those depicted in portraits.
