Text is in French. The second volume of a 2-volume set compiled by Italian historian Lionello Venturi (1885-1961). This volume contains letters of Camille Pissaro, letters of Alfred Sisley, letters of other artists, and memoirs of Paul Durand-Ruel. A final "Documents" section contains letters of Octave Maus, letters of Paul Durand-Ruel, the eight Impressionist Exhibitions (1874-1886), and criticism of impressionism from 1863-1880. An index to the full sett appears at the end. Note that this book is a 1939 original and not a 1968 or ebook reprint.
