This exhibition centered on studies and sketches for major works of art, together with their final executions and also on paintings by one artist and similar versions by other artists; thus the title Visions and Revisions. The Foreword by Daniel Robbins explains some of the difficulties in mounting this sort of show, and the introduction and catalogue notes by Stephen Ostrow are very thorough. Pieces lent include works by Michelangelo, Durer, Poussin, Rubens, Zuccaro (both) and many others.
