A sale of 1,122 lots stamps from British Africa that come from the most important collection to appear on the market in more than 50 years. Assembled by Sir Gawaine Baillie, 7th Bt (1934-2003), the collection was almost entirely unknown to international collectors and boasts highlights not seen on the market for several decades. The sale was the fifth in a series of ten auctions, with an estimated value for the entire collection of $20 million. Foreword by Richard Ashton.
