Serves to show "that during the last century the book has, in fact, become a major vehicle of artistic expression: that it is one in which the artist is not necessarily secondary to the author, but is often and rightly his equal." (p. 8) With an introduction by Philip Hofer and Catalogue by Eleanor M. Garvey.
