Moncure Daniel Conway (1832-1907) was an American author, abolitionist, and Unitarian minister. Though born in Virginia, he spent time in Concord, Massachusetts, with the aging Transcendentalists. He met a number of key people in his life, and his memoirs are enlightening in this regard.
