A three-volume set, issued in conjunction with a large planned 1997 auction. The thin informational volume includes introductory sections titled Genealogy of H.R.H. The Duke of Windsor; The Wardrobe of the Duchess of Windsor; The Wardrobe of the Duke of Windsor; Floor Plan of No. 4 Route du Champs d’Entrainement; Chronology of Events; and selected bibliography. The two hefty vols. present 3311 lots, well annotated and illustrated. The actual sale of these items was significantly delayed from the stated dates due to the death of Princess Diana. It was finally held in February 1998.
