New York: Phillips & Hunt, 1871. "eighth thouasand" Hardbound. Very attractive green gilt embossed cloth covers with gilt design title on spine. T.e.g. 557 pp., color folding map and 42 other illustrations both wood and steel engravings. Overall VG except that title page is loose and there are small, white library call letters on the lower spine, very old card pocket, small bookplate inside front cover. Book is tight and very seldom used it seems. Item #134046

A very nice copy oerall of this rare book. Frontispiece is a steel engraving of the Taj Mahal.
