"Spanish House -- Duryea" is the spine title on the library binding. The book contains photographic prints (approx 10.24 X 13.5 inches) of the interior of a Spanish -style house. All prints have "Duryea" in the lower left corner, likely the renowned architectural photographer, Drix Duryea. He photographed several series of individual residences, as well as all kinds of better-known buildings, particularly in the NY City area. These probably would be photos of an American home done in the Hacienda style, perhaps on Long Island? Included are the public rooms, bedrooms and entrance to the home but not the kitchen or baths. There is some bluish silvering to the edges of the prints. This set of photographs would be of interest to those interested in interior design, Spanish-style architecture and interior decorative arts, including furniture, rugs, tapestries, and other fixtures and, of course, anyone interested in the work of Drix Duryea who also is known as the first to develop the art of the photo mural, in the 1930s.
