Contains parallel texts in Greek and Latin. An early edition of Tollius' translation of Appianus' Roman History, displayed in parallel columns (with marginal annotations by Stephani) of the original Greek and the Latin translation. Appianus of Alexandria, a Roman barrister, completed the original history prior to 162 CE. It provides a view of various peoples, detailing their early history and incorporation into the Roman Empire (thank you Johnnycake). An excellent reference or reading set, an great candidate for an upgraded binding.
