54 different cabinets are illustrated, many with 2 or three illustrations showing the unique and sometimes hidden features and drawers. A most valuable reference on this unique but seldom written-about subject. Also included in this compendium are articles by Louise Belden on Table Settings of The Eighteenth Century (8 bw and 8 color plates) and Miniature Furniture (15 bw photographs). An unusually useful publication. The article on Spice Cabinets contains excerpts from an October 1939 article by Stockwell, but the illustrations are taken from the exhibit held at the Antiques Show of 1964.
