Both volumes unpaginated, unillustrated, photocopy in reduced size. Thick and heavy books. Good, some rubbing to cover corner, ends and spine ends, mild bumping of corners. Pages clean, text block has minimal smudging. Page edges near beginning and end are fragile with some cracking. Item #130137

Reproduces 29 original volumes. Sabin began this monumental effort, publishing volume I in 1868. The work was finally completed in 1936 and published by N. Israel of Amsterdam. The beginning of Volume XXIX has this note: "Begun by Joseph Sabin, and continued by Wilberforce Eames and Completed by R. W. G. Vail for the Bibliographical Society of America". Volume 1: binds together volumes I through part of XV, with entries from "A" through part of "P". Volume 2 binds together the remainder of "P" entries through "Z", volumes XV to XXIX.
