Modèles de dessins d'orfèvrerie...dessine´s et grave´s par Salembier ; 36 planches, 140 motifs

Paris: Librarie Charles Foulard, 1900, circa. Hardbound. Marbled portfolio case containing a title sheet, and 36 individual sheets with multiple engraved illustrations on each. VG, ex library set with only one stamp on one plate with no effect on image. Item #127932

Title-page printed on Van Gelder Zonen paper. Plates are signed as Sallembier, not Salembier. A most interesting and problematic collection. Obviously printed at the end of the 19th or early 20th century, supported by the watermark on the title-page,and authored by Salembier. All the plates are signed Sallembier, however. The subjects of these extremely detailed engraved plates consist of: Moutardiers, Coquetiers; Feux Pelles; Pincettes; Huiliers; Salieres; Sauciers; Plats; Fourchettes, Cuillieres; Soupieres; Flambeaux; Suciers; Ecuelles; Gobelets; Vases. Scarce, showing up irregularly and apparently often incomplete.
