Each volume has a preface, in French, by Paul Gavault; Volume I has an introduction, in English and French, by the editors and a bibliography of works consulted; Volume II has an "Index des Planches" with the English, French, or German captions for the plates 2 volumes, folio, illustrated with color-plates. A very nice, clean copy.
