Slipcased. Original contents rebound into flexible black buckram covers, the whole then encased in a wrap-around black buckram folio that slips into a black buckram slipcase with gilt lettering on the spine. Series 1: tp, viii pp, 105 pp with 40 mostly colored plates. Series 2: title-page, (ii) pp, 40 pp with 20 plates interleaved. Heavy at 9 pounds and will require extra postage. Generally VG, with the following exceptions: Pages are brittle and cracking at the binding. Ex-library with small ink ownership stamps on most plate corners; ffep (with lib. bookplate) and half title detaching; sold as an excellent reference copy, not for the collector. Item #125412

The first series is dated 1823, the second series is dated 1826. The book itself is a later reprint of these two books, though no other publication data is given or present. The paper places the publication date in the 1900-1910 range I would estimate. Still quite rare, with fewer than 10 copies in Worldcat.
