William Robinson Leigh was one of the last eyewitness illustrators of the Old West. This volume details his life from his birth in 1866 in Maidstone, the family home in West Virginia, to his death in his studio in New York, where he was still painting at the age of 88, and where, in the words of his wife, "he let his brush roam the windy plains". Includes five chapters, notes, bibliography, and index.
