This is the second volume in the series The State Russian Museum: Painting: 18th-20th Centuries: Catalogue in 15 Volumes. The first catalog of the museum, published in 1980, covering Russian art from the early 18th century to 1917, has become a rare book. This 15 volume catalog will cover the whole of the 20th century. The second volume starts with an introduction by G. Goldovskii and contains a guide to the catalog, and descriptions and color illustrations of paintings (522 exhibits).
