An Italian grammar of ornament with beautifully printed plates covering Egyptian, Assyrian, Greek, Etruscan, Roman, Chinese, Japanese, Christian, Byzantine and Arabic motifs. The plates are numbered sequentially, and there are four text booklets to accompany the bw and color plates. These booklets have some dampstaining along the outer right edges, but nothing is or has been stuck together. Missing the following plates: 3, 4, 16, 25, 34, 36, 37, 59, 61, 64, 116, 121, 150, 153, 164. 15 plates lacking in all. Also lacking one of the 10 bw plates.
