A superb set, except for the repairs needed to the front covers of both volumes. Look very nice on shelf, and a delight to read through. Vol. I contents include an introductory chapter and section on the early periods, the Tosa School, the Chinese School of the Ashikaga period, the school of Sesshiu, and the Kano School. Vol. 2 covers the school of Korin, Ukioye School, Later Chinese School, Maruyama and Shijo Schools, Kishi School (School of Ganku) and minor schools. With a general index for both volumes. With a list of illustrations for each volume.
