The first five catalogue entries are for pictures that will be included in the Old master Paintings evening sale...the last two are views of London by Samuel Scott. We are greatly indebted to Charles Beddington for contributing the introductory essay and the catalogue entry for Canaletto's View of the Grand Canal from Palazzo Balbi to the Rialto Bridge...he was also responsible for re-establishing the View of San Giovanni in Laterano as the work of Bellotto."
