Based on the author's 1953 dissertation, first published privately in 1959. Covers the use of the image of Roma on Roman coins, cameos, sculptures, and statues. This 1974 edition "includes a chapter titled The Goddess Roma in the Eastern Provinces, which both answers and fails to answer questions raised in the last fifteen years." (author's early note) Includes supportive illustrations. A rare volume in this field.
