Bound into a grey Gaylord pamphlet binder with green tape binding and white title label. 1 p. text followed by 60 single-sided sheets with one or more color tile images laid on. Good+ (ex-lib. with marks to Gaylord cover, back pocket inside original document, and one lib. stamp; light age soiling to original cover; else very nice, clean and tight). Item #155047

A catalogue of beautiful tiles, made in Spain, and listed under three main categoried: Hand-decorated (dull antique glazes); Stencilled (bright glazes); and Moorish Relief and Mosaic Tiles. All are in vivid color, with dimensions. The company was located on Lexington Avenue, just down from the Consul General of Costa Rica. Louis Goldey himself was listed as a tile an porcelain importer at addresses (at various times) on Broadway, at the actual Consul General of Costa Rica, and at the address on this catalgoue. He also represented the Tile Importers' Association in the US Congress Senate Finance Committee Hearings of 1929, interviewed by Senator Edge. An excellent catalogue for interior decorators, ceramicists, designers, and others.
