Catalogue from the exhibition of glass and rugs, mounted in 9 different US locations between November 1929 and December 1930: The Met, NY; MFA, Boston; Pennsylvania Museum, Philadelphia; AIC, Chicago; City Art Museum of St. Louis; Carnegie Institue, Pittsburgh; Dayton Art Institute; Cincinnati Museum Association; and the Baltimore Museum of Art. Includes a preface by Helen Plumb and Richard F. Bach, the exhibition assemblers/curators. With an introductory essay by Charles R. Richards, followed by the catalogues of 334 works in glass and 81 rugs. Artists whose works are represented are from the following countries: United States, Austria, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, and Sweden. A note laid in explains that shipping delays made certain catalogue descriptions impossible and that, where the glass-making method is not indicated, the work was blown in mould. Includes works by Lalique, Tiffany, Lobmyer, Martinuzzi, Stromberg, Hald, Carder; Poetter, Dinelau, Reeves, Bruhns, Asker and many, many more.
