Issued in conjunction with a 2005 auction that reunited these two paintings rendered by British artist Edward Burne-Jones (1833-1898). An extensive narrative addresses the artist, the paintings, and the mermaid theme. The annotated and illustrated catalogue presents 12 pieces, and most are artwork by Burne-Jones. Included are other pieces with ties to former owners of the highlighted paintings.
