New York, NY: Christie's, 2015. Softcover. Black & illus. wraps, French flaps, 170 pp., many color & BW illus., one fold-out. VG. Item #152863
Issued in conjunction with the 2015 auction of the large sculpture titled "Spider," rendered by French-American artist Louise Bourgeois (1911-2010). It was part of the offerings at the "Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale" of November 10, 2015. This is quite a substantial catalogue, with many illustrations of the sculpture and the artist. Includes an essay by Candace Wetmore; an artist interview conducted by Bill Beckley, and a poem by Bourgeois and dedicated to her mother. The sculpture sold for $28.2 million. You can see it and learn more about it here, for far less.
